Farmers Market
- I agree that's the best place but watch any that use chemicals. Also I disagree on one thing diet drinks are not healthy.

Create A Weekly Menu
- Planning out a weekly menu will help you save money. First, I check the circulars to see what’s on sale and then I look through my recipe binder to help me select our meals for the week. I’ll only buy the ingredients I don’t already have on hand. I also plan for healthy snacks too so I’m not tempted by the end of aisle displays. I have a handy tool that helps me do all this called Supermarket Smarty Wipe Off Grocery List & Coupon Holder which comes with a meal planner too. http://www.supermarketsmarty.com/

Lunch Meat
- There are very few lunch meats that are not filled with added nitrates and nitrites. Even the "natural" or "organic" labeled foods add them so you have to look for uncured or Nitrate and Nitrite Free labels. Also, those beautiful meats at the deli are no exception so ask at the counter first! Be careful when you purchase your lunch meats. One may think sending your kiddo a healthy turkey sandwich is great but for kids eating sandwiches at school everyday, you do not want to pump them up with carcinogens. We get enough of them naturally in our water and veggies!

healthy choices
- My family and I like to buy our fruit and vegetables from the farmers market on a Saturday, that way when we go grocery shopping on the Sunday, we can plan our daily meals that we bought the fruit and vegetables for.

Fresh from the farm
- I buy from the farmers market on Saturday morning, fresh and cheap. Brightly colored fruits and veges are great source of anti-oxidants and nutrients and I buy just enough for the family to avoid wastage.

The Edges
- Buy local, buy fresh. Only shop around the edges of the store and avoid processed food as much as possible. Plain oatmeal is better for you than packaged cereals full of corn syrup and hydrogenated oils. Make every penny you spend count for your health.

Meat Counter - Slice Just What You Need
- I have the meat counter slice off how many slices of cheese and meat I need, for only myself. It is better cost-wise, and I don't buy the prepackaged meat or cheese, which is usually more than I need. You also have the option as to how thin or thick to slice it - for whatever you need.

Afforability is a consideration
- Great information, keep it up! "If you want to boost your health and cut your health care costs, then it is best that you take the required Health Supplements . These supplements are not that expensive at all and you can go a long way in helping your body get the nutrition that you need."

Farmers market
- I purchase my produce for each week at the farmers market (it's onsite at my work). It allows me to mentally plan meals, buy only what I need at a cheaper cost, eat more healthily, and buy the freshest items for my family.

Buy Meat in Family Packs
- Although I only cook for myself and my husband, I buy family packs of chicken and ground turkey. As soon as I get home, I break them up into serving sizes, and store them in freezer bags. This also cuts down defrosting time and waste. I only defrost what I plan to cook, and if we have guests, I'll defrost an additional serving.
