Choose brown rice instead of white rice. Brown rice has not had the bran covering removed like white rice. This bran adds fiber that may help to reduce cholesterol. Fiber also helps to slow down absorption of the starch in the rice. Just like other whole grains, brown rice is a great choice for our diets.
