We chose a simple recipe. Since we substituted freshly roasted beef over the less healthy dried beef, we had to have one extra cooking step. I wasn't ready to let my daughter use a big kitchen knife yet, so I did the cutting and chopping of the meat. Kendyl did the rest of the work, which consisted of opening the cream cheese and using measuring cups to measure the right amounts.

This is a simple recipe. That made it easy to hold her attention long enough to get the food prepared. Since it was easy, she was pleased at being able to make her own healthy snack in a short time.
