Since we substituted freshly roasted beef, we had to have one extra cooking step that wasn't mentioned in the original recipe. I wasn't ready to let my daughter use a big kitchen knife just yet, so I did the cutting and chopping of the meat. Kendyl did the rest of the work, which consisted of opening the cream cheese, using measuring cups to measure the ingredients, and put them in a bowl.
This was a simple recipe. That made it easy to hold her attention long enough to get the food prepared. Since it was easy, she was pleased with being able to make her own healthy snack in a short time.
