Wash Your Hands

Hand washing

Hand washing is important for food safety.

We needed to have clean hands for handling the foods. This was also a good time to discuss the importance of clean utensils and a clean working area.

If the recipe you choose calls for any raw meat or eggs, be sure to explain how important it is to wash hands after handling the raw meat and before working with the other ingredients. Be sure to teach your child to use clean knives and cutting boards for the raw ingredients
