Fruit helps

When I have a craving for sugars I always replace that with fruit because fruit contains healthy sugar and is low in calories.

Cold stuff!

I love (I think it's Edy's) strawberry fruit popsicles. They are sweet, yummy, and low calorie. Does it for me every time.

binge eating

I agree if I start on any sweet foods I can't stop Now I keep a pack of cheap biscuits with me and if I get the urge, I chew them, spit them out and look at what I'd be swallowing if I ate them. A waste, I know, but it works for me and you have got a calorie free taste of bickys in your mouth, washed down with a nice cup of tea.

Dealing With Sugar Cravings

I find that when I have a craving, ANY carbohydrate sends me into a binge, and keeping any kind of dessert, cereal or especially chocolate in the house is recipe for disaster. Once I have a bite I'll eat it all. For me the only solution is total avoidance, and if I can do that, I'm fine.

From Ms. G.

I like two blocks of chocolate (from a slab) and one liter of water. It gives me satisfaction.

Sugar Cravings

I have found that a piece of sugar-free gum helps.

Chocolate

I love snacking on cereal, so if you're in the mood for chocolate, try a bowl of chocolate flavored sugar cereal instead of a bowl of M&Ms. It may not be the most healthy cereal choice but it's a much better alternative and you still get something sweet.

Try Dark Chocolate

Usually when I have a craving I don't try to fight it, I simply satisfy it with something that I don't have to eat a lot of, such as dark chocolate. It has more antioxidants than regular chocolate. You could try the dark chocolate Lindon truffles, they're so delicious and rich that sometimes one piece is enough to satisfy the craving. If you don't like dark chocolate by itself, you can melt it down and eat it with strawberries, which will satisfy your sweet tooth with the added bonus adding a healthy fruit.

Artificial Sweeteners

When I get a sugar craving, I like to drink some diet soda. In fact, I don't like the taste of regular soda anymore.
