Use nuts as garnish for vegetables

Nuts are a good snack if portion-controlled. A small quantity of nuts goes a long way when it acts as a crunchy, tasty topping, i.e., toasted chopped almonds are a fine garnish for green beans or frozen peas. A small quantity of lightly browned chopped mushrooms could be added to the toasted nuts. Many Asian dishes use nuts as a garnish or a sauce. Thai peanut sauce is wonderful with grilled chicken.
