How much weight I lost.
I lost about 55 pounds fast and easily. I am a 21 year old male - 5'9".
Why I decided to lose weight
I had an eating disorder when I was about 14. I went from being 5'4" and 130 lbs. to 5'6" and 94 lbs. I wanted to gain weight so I ate anything I wanted and gained a lot of weight and ended up at 5'8" and 160 lbs. Then I had another eating disorder and went from 160 to 130 lbs. at 5'9". I reached my final height at 5'9"at age 16. I don't lift weights nor do I do any physical activity. I consider myself lazy though I am not overweight. After that I was put on Depakote and started eating a lot and ended up at 205 lbs. I was really close to obesity and was a little concerned about my health.
How I lost the weight.
I cut off eating too many carbs. I stopped drinking to much sugary soft drinks and juices. I am still losing weight. I lost so much weight really fast after that. Within 3-5 months I lost 55 lbs. without even trying. I do take anti psychotic medications with weight gain side affects though. I still lost weight. I am now 5'9" and weigh around 150 lbs. I am still losing but at a slower rate than when I started changing my diet. I also like eating vegetables. My mom is 5'4" and weighs around 107 lbs. She lost weight through a lot of stress I guess. She went from being 130 lbs. to 107 lbs. Every one says my mom is really pretty and looks young. She's actually 45 or 46 right now. My nationality is Indian but I was born in Canada. I do not know what works for others but cutting down carbs and sugars works for me. I am not vegetarian but I only eat poultry meat or any white meat. I also learned to eat less. I think keeping your stomach a little empty works, but not to a point where you starve. If you like eating sweet sugary stuff than I would suggest eating more fruit but with an empty stomach. I don't like fruit though. Sugar is not a problem for me. I don't know enough about how obesity is caused in America and I don't if some of it is genetics but I do know we can minimize our weight easily by eating less calories and eating healthy foods like vegetables or/and fruit. If you cannot run like me (and I think I'm too weak for my body weight) than I would recommend walking if you are going to exercise. I think a lot of supermodels are actually a little underweight. I have an Asian friend who is about my height and only weighs about 120 lbs. I don't know if genetics can be a problem, but I do know we can do a lot with our weight if we try. I am still losing weight. I'm not even trying though. I don't know if I have a good metabolism but I doubt it because I'm on a lot of anti psychotic medications but I still managed to lose weight. I just wish we could do something to cure obesity.
Tips and Tricks
- I ate less portions when I felt like I needed to eat.
- I ate slowly and wait till my brain tells me I'm full
- I look at nutrition facts on a food items
- I watch out for high calorie foods that don't fill me up
- I eat more vegetables (I don't know if it could help with weight loss
- I try to keep my stomach a little empty. I would try to be used to eating less and eating healthy
- I don't know if our stomach could shrink but maybe it could. I try to drink warm water and diet sodas or drinks if I can
- I would recommend doing some exercise although I was never into it
