Help Kids to Like Eating Vegetables

A study shows that many kids may hate their vegetables because of a gene that causes a dislike for bitter tastes. How can you get your kids to eat their vegetables? Disguise them. Melt some cheese on asparagus or green beans and add some sliced almonds. Drizzle a glaze or honey on sliced carrots. Add peas or other vegetables to their favorite casserole or soup. Kids will often grow out of this dislike for bitter tastes, but it is important to keep offering healthy vegetables.
