Olive oil is well known as healthy oil. In fact, olive oil will help to prevent cardiovascular disease. Olive oil is great for cooking because it has a high smoking point. Make a healthy appetizer by mixing one-quarter cup of olive oil with your favorite seasonings like chopped fresh basil, garlic, oregano, peppers and a little Parmesan cheese. Slice a loaf of crusty fresh baked whole grain bread and enjoy by dipping the bread into the olive oil-cheese dip.
