Food Safety at the Grocery Store

Keep raw meats separated from fresh produce at all times. Make sure to place all of your fresh produce in the clean plastic bags that are available in produce sections. Grab a couple extra bags before heading to the refrigerated meat section. Those cuts of raw meat wrapped in plastic can leak so place each package of meat in its own clear plastic bag before putting it in the cart with the rest of your food.
