Nutrition Glossary: Fast Foods

Definition: Any type of food that is prepared and sold in a quick manner. Fast food restaurants generally serve hamburgers, sandwiches, French fries and soft drinks. Fast foods are frequently inexpensive and may be considered junk food because they are usually low in nutritional value.
