Assembling ingredients

Have your child assemble the ingredients all by herself.

Kendyl only needed a spoon to stir the ingredients and a butter knife to spread her dip on some whole grain crackers. We talked about other ways we could change the recipe. Maybe try chicken next time, or maybe even a few tiny chopped onions or some chopped spinach to add more vitamins and minerals. I wanted Kendyl to know that recipes don't always have to be static; many recipes can be changed to make them healthier.
