Question: Is there an ingredient in curry that can help with Alzheimers?
I understand that there is an ingredient in curry that is suppose to help in some way with Alzheimer's disease. Can you shed any light on this?

Answer: The ingredient in curry that can help fight Alzheimer's is called turmeric. The component of turmeric called curcumin has been shown to reduce inflammation.

The reason it may help prevent Alzheimer's is due to the ability of curcumin to reduce amyloid accumulation. It is also an antioxidant, can suppress oxidative damage, and it may also help to prevent colorectal cancer.
