Almonds have been shown to be good for our hearts and apples contain quercetin and other anti-oxidants to keep you healthy. Other fresh fruits would work very well too and walnuts, pecans or cashews would be good for you too.
Another good low calorie snack is air popped popcorn. While it doesn't contain a lot of protein, three cups of air popped popcorn has less than 100 calories and 3.5 grams of fiber. The fiber can keep you feeling full until your next meal.
Adding butter or oil adds unhealthy fats and calories to this snack, but you could spray your popcorn with a butter-flavored spray and add your favorite seasonings such as garlic powder, onion powder or a bit of plain salt.
