Carbs, Fats and Proteins - How Much of Each?

People often want to know how many grams of carbohydrates, proteins and fats they need for a diet to be healthy. That is a great question and experts don't always agree. The USDA has guidelines for carbohydrate, protein and fat intake percentages, which are based on the amounts of each nutrient that the average healthy person needs to have in his or her diet. Some people may wish to explore low fat diets or low carb diets since studies show that low fat diets may help to reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease and other studies show than low carb diets may be a bit more effective for weight loss.
