Kids need healthy foods. But it isn't always easy to find foods they'll eat. I was snooping around some of our foods sites on About.com today and I found several recipes that I think kids will love, and in most cases, I think the kids would have a great time preparing the foods, or at least helping out. Take a look: Healthy Recipes for Kids.

I always found that when you let the children help with meals, even letting them plan certain meals, they seem to eat better. My kids never seemed to be troubled with trying new foods. They have all turned out to be good cooks as well! The salad course was always left for the youngest kids (no burned fingers) and they loved making them look fancy like in the magazines. Even the neighbor kids enjoyed coming for dinner.
We had a lot of fun, everyone talking and laughing in the kitchen while we worked on the meal. Looking back now, those times worked out to be some of our best family memories!
