A number of studies have suggested that wine, especially red wine, may be good for you, as long as you don't overdo it (one serving a day is enough and that's only four ounces). The antioxidants in the wine are the main reason for those health benefits, although the alcohol may have something to do with it too.
But what if you want the antioxidants, but you don't want the alcohol? Well, actually you can get them from other foods including fruits, vegetables, nuts, berries, tea, but you can also try a glass or two (or three) of dealcoholized wine. It isn't grape juice, it's real wine that's had the alcohol removed: Does Dealcoholized Wine Have Health Benefits?
Have you tried dealcoholized wine? Did you like it? I don't think it tastes as good as the regular wines, but it's good for you and it's a lot lower in calories too.
