Skippy Peanut Butter Recall

Unilever, the company that makes Skippy Peanut Butter, issued a recall today for Reduced Fat Creamy Peanut Butter Spread and Skippy Reduced Fat Super Chunk Peanut Butter Spread because of potential salmonella contamination. According to the press release, the product was distributed to retail outlets in Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Iowa, Maine, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Dakota, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Wisconsin.

Salmonella is type of bacteria that can be spread through the food we eat. Salmonella infection can result in symptoms such as diarrhea, nausea, fever, headaches and vomiting. Read the details of the recall.
