A few decades ago, most Americans trusted the Food and Drug Administration - the agency that is responsible for monitoring the safety of our foods and the efficacy of medications and medical procedures.
Today, only about 1/3 of us trust the FDA, but the new commissioner, Margaret Hambug, hopes to bring that trust back.

It might be easier to trust the FDA if they relied less on politicians and food producers to advise them on things like labeling requirements (and when I say politics I mean both those on the right trying to disguise the contents and those on the left trying to drive a Nanny State agenda) and more on neutral, plain English information. I mean putting information in terms of “servings” when a can contains, say, 2 1/2 servings is, at best, a simple attempt to obscure.
And its not much better with drugs. Honestly, advertising to consumers on television?? Did you ever LISTEN to those 30 – second disclaimers at the end?
