What Makes a Healthy Protein So Healthy?
You might have read about good carbs vs. bad carbs and good fats vs. bad fats, but what about protein? Not so many articles talk about good proteins vs. bad proteins. That's probably because the proteins that are found in the foods you eat are all pretty similar. Your body will happily break most of the the proteins down into their tiniest components, which are then used to make new proteins in your body.
So what makes a protein source healthy? The fats that naturally accompany the protein and the cooking methods you use to prepare your them. So, baked salmon is a terrific protein source, but a fish stick isn't.
Not all of the best protein sources come from animals. Nuts, seeds and legumes, such a soybeans and dry beans are good protein sources too. Learn more about what makes a protein source healthy.

Dairy is not required for a healthy diet. In fact, milk is not the best source of calcium. Leafy green vegetables is a better source. For protein, a combination of legumes and brown rice meets requirements. Omega-3 fatty acids are available through supplements or flaxseed oil.
Many people do not respond well to the proteins and fats in dairy. In the US, most dairy contains genetically modified bovine growth hormone and antibiotics. Pasteurization removes some nutritional value and fails to kill all bacteria and viruses. A certain percentage of puss cells are allowed.
We should be teaching people how to eat a balanced diet that does not require milk, because there are many people who are harmed by dairy consumption. You should not be listing milk as a healthy food.
WHATEVER PROTEIN WORKS FOR YOU IS A HEALTHY PROTEIN. COW’S AND BUFFALO’S MILK IS BAD FOR ASIANS BECAUSE THEY ARE NINETY PERCENT LACTOSE INTOLERANT. GOAT MILK IS MORE DIGESTIBLE AND SOY MILK IS A GOOD SUBSTITUTE.
