Healthy Eating and Travel

Friday March 13, 2009
gas stationI just finished a very long road trip and I can tell you from first hand experience that it is difficult to maintain a healthy diet when you are traveling. First, there are lots of fast foods and service station stops tempt you to eat quickly so you can get back on the road. Then once you reach your destinations, there are lots of restaurants to tempt you even more.

All in all, I kept my normal healthy diet in check, and here are some of my tips for eating on the road.

Yeap, a great article for sure….helpful practical tips to avoid those sugar cravings and unhealthy foods while travelling. Truth is though that it would make so much more sense as to get rid of all those greasy spoon restaurants and gas station candy aisles so there is nothing to tempt us in the first place. I am sure this will happen one day when the collective consciousness shifts more as it has already started as a result of high health care costs and obesity/heart disease and diabetes rates. Bye Bye Mcdonalds!!! (one can only dream!) :)
