For me, the goal is always a positive one–not to lose anything, but to gain—gain knowledge about nutrition, gain healthy eating habits, figure out how to make the food I eat become medicine for my body and soul. The minute i start to restrict myself, I come up against a million brick walls–I don’t thrive on restriction but on freedom.
