I completely agree with the weekend food issue! So hard to stay focused on what to eat but i found a great book that has really helped me lose weight and stay energetic.

I encourage patients (and myself) to maintain their weight during the weekend and then to work on losing weight during the week. Extra physical activity helps, especially if it’s social (hike with friends, etc.).

Great tips Shereen.

I think we also have to ask ourselves why we binge on the weekends???

Perhaps we’re seeking balance and we can’t truly stand being “too healthy”. Therefore, we tell ourselves that we deserve a treat or binge because ate well or worked out.

I challenge people to ask “Just how good can I feel?” Why settle for balance when you can strive for the best health ever?!
