Genetically Engineered Foods

Genetically Engineered CornPlants can be genetically modified so that they are resistant to strong weed-killers that farmers use to improve the growth of the crops. In the future, plants may be modified to improve nutritional content.

Genetically engineering food sounds great, however some people have concerns for the safety of these foods. Are genetically modified foods safe?
