Five a Day

Saturday January 13, 2007
Experts recommend eating 5 to 9 servings of fruits and vegetables every day. Eating lots of fruits and vegetables will assure you of getting plenty of vitamins, anti-oxidants and fiber while making calorie counting easy.

The more colorful fruits and vegetables are the healthiest ones to eat. They contain phytochemicals in the pigments that give them their colors. Those phytochemicals often function as anti-oxidants and anti-inflammatory agents that will help keep you healthy and fight off the aging process. Make sure you eat your vegetables and fruits today and every day.
