In order to make healthy choices when you shop and prepare meals, it is essential to understand how to read Nutrition Facts labels on foods. All packaged foods in the United States have to be labeled for serving size, calories, carbs, fats, protein, fiber, calcium, iron and vitamin C. Some labels contain even more nutrition information.
