Venison

Thursday September 29, 2005
Now that autumn is here, so is deer hunting season, at least hunting with bows and arrows. The meat that comes from deer is called venison. Venison is a great alternative to beef, since it has less fat and fewer calories. Venison has a wonderful wild flavor that I love, but I know lots of people don't care for that wild flavor. No problem. Tame down your venison by cooking it with a low fat beef broth and cook your venison to a medium temperature so it is nice and pink in the middle. Recently, a reader asked me for nutrition information on venison. Here is the nutrition information for venison.
