Just yesterday, the anti-inflammatory medication called Vioxx was taken off the market due to an increased risk of heart problems. Vioxx is a type of Non Steroidal Anti Inflammatory Drug (NSAID). Other types of NSAIDs include aspirin and ibuprofen. While most NSAIDs are considered to be safe, they may have unpleasant side effects such as stomach pain and ulcers.

This isn't good news for all those people suffering from arthritis and other inflammatory disorders who rely on medications to controll their pain. The good news, however, is that many people can decrease their inflammatory pain by making changes in their diets. Read more.
